Volume 4

The Races

Volume Overview

Volume 4 provides complete coverage of the Pebble Beach Road Race events held from 1950 to 1956. The analysis not only includes comprehensive race reports but also easy to read tables showing the complete finishing order for each race. There is also text devoted to the social activities that surrounded each of the seven race/concours weekends.

An especially exciting feature of this book is that the author has made movie footage of many of the Pebble Beach races available to the reader. Wherever a QR Code is located on a race results table in Volume 4, the reader can view movie footage of that race by using a smartphone.

"...The first thing I totally admired about this “tome of tomes” is the size and layout of the photographs...The races are covered magnificently, and the book doesn’t stop there. So much coverage of the atmosphere around the races, which greatly adds to the flavor and makes you think you are actually there."
