The People

Volume Overview

Volume 2 is devoted to “The People” and includes nearly 60 detailed biographies of individuals that were involved in the Pebble Beach Road Race. This includes drivers who went on to race professionally, including Phil Hill, Carroll Shelby, Ken Miles, Richie Ginther, Chuck Daigh, and others.

Additionally, there is significant focus on the histories of many lesser-known individuals including Pebble Beach race organizers, amateur drivers, team owners, and artisans who performed work on the cars.
